Pakisubukang lapitan ang iyong TL sa isang oras at lugar na magbibigay-daan sa TL na makinig sa iyong mga alalahanin nang naaangkop. Kung dati mong napag-usapan ang bagay na ito sa iyong TL at hindi naniniwala na nakatanggap ka ng sapat na tugon, hinihiling namin na iharap mo ang iyong mga alalahanin nang nakasulat sa iyong TL. IllnessYou must be present at all course meetings to provide you with the minimum required training hours for certification. If you have an emergency or become ill and cannot attend a coaching session, please contact your instructor and LCT representative at info@limitbusters.com immediately. You will be expected to complete the session materials, review the recording, and complete a coaching session outside the live session to make up for the missed session. If you must miss more than twelve (12) hours of the course, you can work with the instructor/facilitator to cover the missed material at your own expense or register for another course. Suppose you miss up to three (3) hours of mentor coaching. In that case, you must arrange and pay for individual mentor coaching sessions to complete the required 10 hours of mentor coaching to satisfy the International Coaching Federation requirements. Petitions to this policy are considered case-by-case and must be submitted in writing to the instructor and LCT.

What is Coaching?The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines Coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. Coaching comes from the word "Coach," which means carriage in French and Hungarian. A carriage is a transportation system for passengers from where they start their ride to their destination. In other words, from here to there. Coaching happens when the clients identify what they want in their life, such as dreams, goals, etc. The Coach uses coaching skills to facilitate their agenda.

2. What is the history of Coaching?In the Coaching Community, one of the fun inquiries was: Who was the first Coach? Of course, each Coach gave their favorite answer. Here are some of their responses. Aristotle: He instilled rational thinking, ethics, and others. Confucius: He wrote about personal morality and sincerity. Emerson: He wanted the people of America to have their own culture. With his idea, people change how they view themselves within society. Heraclitus: His theory was that change was the nature of the universe. A man should exercise rational thinking. Jesus Christ: He used metaphors and stories, asked powerful questions to his disciples, and was xenial and authentic throughout his life. Pluto: A father of transcendental philosophy. A proponent of finding a deeper purpose in life to be happy. Socrates: He asked questions to his students and had meaningful conversations instead of feeding them the answers. He challenged them and encouraged learning and wisdom to attain a happy life. Ancient Times: From their perspectives, the human way of nurturing or provoking people's faculties stemmed from teaching, mentoring, counseling, and preaching. Sports Coaching: In the year 1860 in England, Coaching becomes an integral part of sports. The team hires a Coach and one-on-one Coaching for some elite athletes. Also, in 1974, Thimothy Gallwey wrote, The Inner Game of Tennis. He describes the difference between Coaching and Teaching. He mentioned how a Sports Coach applies the principle of Coaching. Business Coaching: In the 1900s, some companies hired psychologists to enhance the efficacy of their workers. They were there to offer counsel. They are now called Consultants; some call themselves Coaches even though they primarily do consultation. School Coaches: In the 1930s, we heard the word COACH from the University of Oxford. The tutor or teacher is the same as a Coach, meaning, like a carriage, he takes his learner from one stage of the journey to another. Father of Coaching: In 1980, Thomas J. Leonard founded Coach U and taught personal Coaching. CTI: Karen Kimsey House, Laura Whitworth, and Henry-Kimsey House collaborated with Thomas Leonard. In the 1990s, the three founded the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) for their Co-active Coaching program. Two of the first CTI Trainers are our co-founder, Eric Kohner, and his partner at that time, Cynthia Loy-Darst. Both of them are now Senior Trainers in the organization. Coaching for Performance: This is Sir John Whitmore's book in 1992. He created the GROW (Goal, Reality, Options, What) model. It became the coaching bible for companies and managers. Coaching Organizations: Before the Coaching Federation of Thomas Leonard, another coaching institution, the Professional Coaching and Mentoring Association, existed. In 1994, Some of the Coaches in Los Angeles, California, connected the leaders of both organizations to merge so that there would be one organization for Coaching. They did, and eventually, it became ICF (International Coaching Federation). Other Organization: CHADD (Children and Adults Attention Deficit Disorder)emerged in 1987. They have had a yearly gathering. In this conference, some Coaches participated. Another milestone for the Coaching profession because some of the Coaches were working with learning disabilities. They call themselves AD/HD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) Coaches. Metamorphosis of the Coaching Profession: Coaching is a distinct profession. There are many types of Coaches - Spiritual Coaches, Financial Coaches, Agile Coaches, etc. Heart-based Coaching (HBC): In 2012, Carlyne developed HBC specifically for Educators, Parents, and students. The model is ALIMA (Asking Powerful Questions, Listening, Intuition, Mindfulness, and Acknowledgment), and the way of Coaching is using the heart. She believes that the foundation of society is the children. They become leaders and professionals in local, national, and international communities. The children deserve a good foundation right in the get-go, in their homes, acquire wisdom at schools, and engage in our local communities. Loving them is imperative through listening, seeing, and supporting them in their dreams. Naturally, all of these skills are the components of HBC.

How is Coaching different from Psychotherapy, Counseling, Mentoring, and Teacher?Generally speaking, a Therapist's clinical approach works from the past - going back in time and identifying the root of the "problems." By doing this, the client can move from the past to the present. In Coaching, the Coach coaches the human being, not the issue. Coaching creates new awareness and possibilities to move forward in their lives. A Counselor advises students on several issues they may face throughout their academics. Coaches don't counsel students; A Coach may use curiosity to ask open-ended questions. Often, clients ask their questions too, and a Coach is there to facilitate and use coaching skills in these inquiries; ultimately, they will answer them. A Mentor shares Mentees with all their mighty experience in life - a role model for a protegee. The beauty of Coaching lies when a coach does not know the client. The Coach's job is to allow the client to develop their perspective/s. This process is like a dance movement; the Coach holds the client's agenda and keeps them accountable for their action and commitment. A Teacher teaches students based on their acquired credentials, books, and school curriculum mandate. In Coaching, everyone is part of the collaboration process. The job of a Coach is to empower, listen, see, and whole-heartedly design what is possible for the client or student!

4. What is Life Coaching?Life Coaching is coaching in any of the Client's domains of development, called the development wheel, which has the formula of PEMSS + HEW = Self. These are physical, emotional, mental, social, spiritual, health, environment, and wealth which results in the question of how do they take care of themselves?

5. What does the Life Coach do?The most important job of a Coach is to support the Client (Coachee) in expanding their vision. The Coach holds the Client's plan; we believe a human being is a Whole-Hearted Individual. In other words, Coaches conclude that the Client is perfect—meaning, organically wise, able to answer pondering inquiries and realize their potential. The Coach's job is to support the clients in unlocking their potential, developing their leadership skills, and supporting them with whatever goals or dreams they have.
